No pain no gain for Pavlyuchenko as Tottenham star puts off surgery

Point to prove: Pavlyuchenko
Roman Pavlyuchenko will play through the pain barrier to make his mark at Tottenham.
The Russia striker has struggled to hold down a starting role since arriving at White Hart Lane from Spartak Moscow last summer.
The 27-year-old has spent the last three games on the bench and is suffering from a groin injury that requires surgery.
But Pavlyuchenko will put off going under the knife in a bid to impress Spurs boss Harry Redknapp, according to Tvoi Den newspaper in Moscow.
